Education Born
1971. Research field My interest lies in the investigation of the physical properties of exchange-coupled transition metal ion systems. Using polarized single-crystal absorption and emission spectroscopy at variable temperatures, magnetic measurements (SQUID), as well as Inelastic Neutron Scattering (INS), exchange splittings of ground and excited states are determined. (Orbital) Exchange parameters are derived, which allows to determine the relevant orbital exchange pathways. Publications H. U. Güdel, T. Brunold,
